Welcome to Jobzo.lk (“Jobzo”, “Platform”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Jobzo.lk is an online freelance marketplace that connects Clients who need services with Freelancers who provide services.
By accessing or using Jobzo.lk, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. Eligibility & Account Registration
- You must be 18 years or older to use Jobzo.lk.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- One person or business may not maintain multiple accounts without permission.
2. Nature of the Platform
- Jobzo.lk is a neutral marketplace.
- We are not an employer, agency, broker, or party to any agreement between Clients and Freelancers.
- All contracts, deliverables, payments, and disputes occur directly between Clients and Freelancers.
3. Freelancer Accounts
Freelancers agree that:
- All skills, services, and portfolio information provided are truthful.
- Work delivered will meet the agreed scope and quality.
- They are independent contractors, not employees of Jobzo.lk.
- They are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and legal obligations.
4. Client Accounts
Clients agree that:
- Project descriptions are clear, lawful, and accurate.
- Payments will be made for completed work as agreed.
- They will not request unpaid work, tests, or off-platform contact to avoid fees.
5. Payments & Fees
- Jobzo.lk may charge platform fees, service fees, or transaction fees.
- Fees, if applicable, will be clearly displayed before payment.
- All payments are processed through approved payment methods on the Platform.
- Off-platform payments to avoid fees are strictly prohibited.
6. Disputes Between Users
- Jobzo.lk may provide dispute-resolution tools but is not obligated to resolve disputes.
- We do not guarantee outcomes, refunds, or enforcement of agreements.
- Users agree to attempt resolution in good faith.
7. Prohibited Activities
You may not:
- Post illegal, fraudulent, or misleading services
- Use the Platform for scams, money laundering, or identity theft
- Circumvent platform fees
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer the Platform
- Post adult, hateful, or unlawful content
Violation may result in immediate suspension or termination.
8. Intellectual Property
- Users retain ownership of their own content.
- By posting content, you grant Jobzo.lk a non-exclusive license to display, promote, and distribute it on the Platform.
- Platform branding, software, and design remain the property of Jobzo.lk.
9. No Guarantees
Jobzo.lk does not guarantee:
- Job success
- Earnings
- Client satisfaction
- Freelancer availability
- Payment recovery
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.”
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Jobzo.lk is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- We are not responsible for losses resulting from user agreements, service quality, or payment disputes.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate any account at any time if:
- These Terms are violated
- Activity harms the Platform or other users
- Required by law or regulation
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Sri Lankan courts.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform means you accept the updated Terms.
